In 1982, Paul Staudt and Carl Avey started Control Tech Supply. The controls industry was in its infancy, so buying product and reselling was a novel idea. Prompt customer service and technical support was the basis of the company’s philosophy at the beginning and remains the number 1 propriety today. Paul has a BS in business management from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. Paul is married to Connie, VP of Business Operations, and together they have four adult children and nine grandchildren. CTS has been in the same location for more than 35 years, our 7,000 sq ft. facility provides adequate space for products, training, and growth in the future. In 1998, Paul bought out Carl’s interest in the company. His primary responsibilities include sales/marketing and company growth.
VP of Business Operations
Connie has been with Control Tech Supply for 25+ years. As VP of Business Operations, her duties include overseeing all accounting activities, marketing and customer service. She has a Master of Business Administration in Global Business, and a Bachelor's in Business Administration/Sociology, both from Texas Woman’s University. She enjoys family time, her grandchildren, and is a year round sports fan–spending much of her time golfing or attending OU Sooner football games, Mavericks, and Rangers games. BOOMER SOONER!!
Director of Building Automation
Gus has worked in the HVAC industry since 1981 when he entered into the family business installing residential systems. He is a certified LCBS Train the Trainer, as well as holding certificates in Tridium R2, Tridium AX, Niagara 4, Distech Controls, Johnson Controls, and Honeywell controllers. Gus runs on one speed in life and in work - 110%. His base core values of life are God, Family and Work.
Business Operations & Development
Chad has served in the building controls distribution industry for the past 15 years. Having extensive knowledge in vendor products such as Belimo, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, KMC and Siemens to name a few. His product experience, passion for teamwork and vendor relationships led him from counter sales to management. He is dedicated to building customer relationships and providing the best customer service experience in the industry. Chad holds a Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas State University. He has been married to his best friend Sherri for 24 years, and has two amazing children. In his spare time, he enjoys being with family, his two dogs, four horses and Mr. Wilson the donkey.
Assistant Director of Building Automation
Justin has worked in the building automation industry for more than 13 years. Specializing in product selection, technical support, troubleshooting and programming assistance. He holds certifications in Niagara AX/N4, Enterprise Security, Distech Controls gfx, Honeywell CIPer controllers, Johnson Controls and several other product lines. Prior to going fulltime into building automation, he spent more than 12 years as an HVAC service tech in the DFW area. He appreciates the technical side of the industry and keeping up the the latest! He enjoys spending time with his lovely wife of 18 years and their four children.
Building Automation Department Manager
William has worked in the HVAC industry for more than 13 years on the distribution side of the business. He started in mechanical controls with an advanced certification in pneumatics, as well as a Belimo factory certification. For the past 7 years he has worked in building automation. He is Niagara AX/4 certified, as well as Honeywell Spyder and CIPer controllers. He believes customer service and great technical support are the most important aspect of this business.
Senior Building Automation Specialist
Abe began his journey in the HVAC industry in 1997. He holds an Associate’s Degree in HVAC from the Universal Technical Institute’s HVAC’s Program and a TACLA Contractor’s License. For more than ten (10) years he has worked in the building automation industry, being Niagara AX/N4, Johnson FX MSTP, Spyder BACnet, and WEBs Security certified. He is thankful to God for opening the doors to the building automation industry and he looks forward to serving our industry. Abe enjoys visiting National Parks with family, living a healthy and fit lifestyle, and competing in obstacle/ultra/tri events.
Amber has been an accounting assistant for more than nine years at CTS. She handles accounts receivables, accounts receivables, front office duties, shipping/receiving and inventory control. She holds an Associates degree in Accounting. She enjoys reading, exercising, family time, and her 17 year old daughter, Jade.
Technical Support / Training
40 years’ experience in the controls and mechanical industry. Sonny is a licensed contractor, holds an Associate Degree in IT, and has completed numerous industry certifications and manufacturer training courses (including Tridium AX and N4). He is the developer of all agendas and instructor of all training courses held at CTS and manages all company network projects. Sonny's hobbies are centered in flying both full scale and radio controlled aircraft.
Paige holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Merchandising from the University of North Texas. She designs and envisions Control Tech’s branding, marketing tools, and website. Her free time is spent with her Aggie husband Ross and their two children, Roman and Hattie.
